Local Resources for the disabled





        All our services are a combined effort of the consumer and the staff. They work to provide information about the array of choices available and assist our consumers to follow the path        they want.

     Tri-Counties Regional Center provides supports and services for individuals with developmental disabilities living in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties so that they may live fully and safely as active and independent members of our community.
 

This is a list of all available resources in the Santa Barbara County area for families or individuals to utilize.

The mission of ASA is to promote lifelong access and opportunity for all individuals within the autism spectrum, and their families, to be fully participating, included members of their community. Support, education, advocacy, and an active public awareness form the cornerstones of ASA Santa Barbara’s efforts to carry forth its mission.

 



 

The mission of the Autism Society of Santa Barbara is to improve the lives of all affected by an “autism spectrum disorder”. We do this by increasing public awareness about the day-to-day issues faced by people living with autism, advocating for appropriate services for individuals across the lifespan, and providing the latest information regarding support, education, advocacy and an active public awareness. These form the cornerstones of ASA Santa Barbara’s efforts to carry forth its mission.

 

 

     Created by the Board of Supervisors in 1991 as an advisory body on children and family issues, the KIDS Network is a county-wide umbrella organization including members from public agencies, the courts, law enforcement, education, community-based organizations, school-linked programs and parent groups. The Network was formed to coordinate existing services and strategically determine priority needs and concerns in the areas of human services, health, education and juvenile justice for children and families.

         
Their  mission is to protect, foster, develop and advance the rights and interests of people with developmental disabilities..

 


        California disabilities is an copulation of resources available at the city, county, and state level. Their goal is to promote better living for individuals with disabilities.

10.                Support for Special Needs‎
                 

Designed to provide families and caregivers with a virtual community of resources, this section delivers a host of information on care and treatment facilities, support groups, professional assistance and other helpful links for those with special needs.
