Swimming with friends

Thursday we went out to the Durham pool and swam with Mrs. Erickson's class of special needs kids. My partner for the day was Rachel and she, along with Sam did a tremendous job with a female student. Rachel was advised by an assistant that the student was afraid of the water and probably wouldn't do much. Rachel and Sam first talked to her and the assistant was right, the student clung to the side of the pool for life. Through teamwork, persuasion, and alittle trickery they had her bobbing, high fiving and letting them drag her out into the center of the pool. It was fun to watch. Great job Sam and Rachel.
